Birthdays and parties
The party photo sharing app that your guests never have to install
PICVIN is a party photo sharing app that runs in the phone's browser: guests scan a QR code and their photos go into one private gallery for your birthday, hen do, christening or graduation. No download, no sign-up, and the next day you are not chasing anyone on WhatsApp for the pictures.

The party photos end up on fifteen different phones
At a 30th or a 50th everyone takes photos and almost nobody sends them. A few land in the group chat, compressed, a week later. The rest stay on the phones of people you see twice a year. The person whose party it was ends up with the least.
PICVIN fixes that with one QR code. Stick it on the cake table, the bar or the invitation, and whoever takes a photo uploads it in seconds, straight from the browser. Everything arrives in one gallery, sorted by the time each photo was taken, so the night reads in order.
Which parties it works for
Any gathering where more than one person is taking pictures. The gallery is yours and the plan is per event, so you can run one for the party and another for the next one.
- Milestone birthdays: 18th, 21st, 30th, 40th, 50th and beyond. The birthday person does nothing and gets every photo.
- Hen dos and stag dos: one gallery for the whole weekend, with albums for the afternoon tea, the night out and the brunch.
- Christenings, communions and naming days: godparents, grandparents and friends all upload to the same place.
- Graduations and leaving parties: the photos of the day in one gallery instead of three group chats.
- Kids' birthday parties: parents scan the code on the way in and you get the party from every angle.
- Baby showers, engagement parties and anniversaries: the host has the photos before the guests have left.
How guests join in
There is no app to download and no account to create. A guest points their phone camera at the QR code, the upload page opens, they pick their photos or take a new one and tap upload. They can add their first name if they like, so you know who took what, and they can browse what everyone else has shared.
If some guests are not in the room, send them the link on WhatsApp or by text. It works the same way, from any phone or computer.
A private gallery, with you in charge
Only people with the QR code or the link can open the gallery, and it is never listed on search engines. You can delete any photo from your dashboard, and anyone who appears in a photo can send a removal request from the gallery, which comes to you to decide.
Photos and videos are hosted on Cloudflare under EU jurisdiction and handled under the GDPR. When you want the lot, download it as one ZIP file.
What it costs
One payment per event, no subscription. The free trial starts with the first photo, runs for 3 days and holds up to 20 photos, with no card needed, so a small party may not need anything more.
Standard costs US$10.99 and keeps the gallery online for 1 year. Premium, at US$21.99, adds video uploads and far more storage, which matters at a party where everyone films the cake. Permanent, at US$54.99, never expires. We email you before a gallery expires, and the optional maintenance plan at US$2.29 a month keeps it online beyond the first year.
Frequently asked questions
Do my guests need to install a party photo sharing app?
No. PICVIN opens in the phone's browser when a guest scans the QR code. There is no download and no sign-up, so it works for everyone from teenagers to grandparents.
Can I use it for a hen do over a whole weekend?
Yes. Create one event for the weekend and add albums for each part of it. Guests upload as they go, and the gallery stays open for the whole plan, not just the day.
Can guests upload videos from the party?
Yes, on the Premium and Permanent plans. Videos are uploaded the same way as photos and appear in the same gallery.
Is there a limit on photos or guests?
No plan limits the number of guests. Paid plans do not limit photos either, only total storage. The free trial allows up to 20 photos, which is often enough for a small birthday.
Who can see the photos?
Only people with the QR code or the link. The gallery is not indexed by Google, you can delete any photo from your dashboard, and guests can request the removal of a photo they appear in.
How do I share the photos with everyone afterwards?
Send the same link. Guests can browse the gallery in their browser, and you can download everything as a ZIP file to keep or to share any way you like.

All guidesA shared album for wedding guests: why Google Photos, iCloud and WhatsApp fall short
A shared album for wedding guests sounds free and easy, but Google Photos asks guests to sign in, iCloud shared albums let only Apple users add photos, and a WhatsApp group compresses everything and buries it under messages. Each of them loses a chunk of your guests and a chunk of your photos. The alternative is a gallery that opens in any browser from a QR code with no account, which is what PICVIN does. Here is what each option actually asks of your guests.

Wedding photo challenge cards and the I spy wedding game, with a printable list
A wedding photo challenge is a card on each table listing shots for guests to capture, and the I spy wedding game is the same idea with a checklist. Both give guests a reason to take photos they would not otherwise take, and both only work if the photos have somewhere to go: a QR code on the same card that opens a shared gallery. Below is a ready-to-print list of 30 prompts, variations for a hen do and a children's table, and how to lay out the card.

How to make a QR code for wedding photos
A QR code for wedding photos is just a link printed as a pattern, so the real question is where the link goes. The three options are a shared album in Google Photos or iCloud, a cloud folder in Drive or Dropbox, or a guest gallery built for events such as PICVIN, which gives you the QR code ready-made and asks guests for no app or account. This guide covers all three, then how to print and place the code.
